Hatzic Prairie is the farm valley that runs north from Hatzic Lake up Sylvester Road, taking in McConnell Creek, Durieu, and the properties along Farms Road. It's ten to fifteen minutes from our shop, and because it's also our route up to the Sylvester forest service roads, our trucks are in this valley all the time.
Out here a tow call usually isn't a highway shoulder — it's a long gravel driveway, a farm gate, or a vehicle that's slid off the edge of a back road in the wet. Tell us exactly where you are when you call (a civic address or the nearest cross road works), and we'll tell you honestly how long we'll take to get there.
Cascade Falls & Davis Lake Traffic
Cascade Falls Regional Park brings a steady stream of visitors up Sylvester Road, and plenty of them are city cars on gravel for the first time. Dead batteries at the trailhead lot and soft-shoulder slide-offs on the way up are regular calls for us.
