Ruskin sits where the Lougheed Highway crosses the Stave River at the western edge of Mission — the last piece of our home turf before Maple Ridge. From our shop it's a ten-to-fifteen-minute run straight down Highway 7, and because the highway is the main commuter route through here, it's one of our most common call-out areas west of town.
Most Ruskin calls are highway work: rear-enders in the commuter crush, breakdowns waiting at the lights, and cars that give up climbing out of the river valley. The shoulders through here are workable but the traffic moves fast — if you're stopped in a live lane, stay in the vehicle with your seatbelt on and tell us so when you call. Those calls jump our queue.
The Dam & the Back Roads
Ruskin Dam draws its share of sightseers down Hayward Street, and the roads around the reservoir are narrow with limited room to turn a truck around. Describe where you're parked when you call and we'll bring the right-sized truck instead of guessing.
