Steelhead is the stretch of rural properties along Dewdney Trunk Road between Mission and Stave Falls, up around Rolley Lake. It's about fifteen minutes from our shop, and since Dewdney Trunk is our route out to Stave Falls and the dams, we pass through Steelhead more or less daily.
Calls out here are rarely hard to reach but often awkward to work: steep driveways, soft grass edges, and in winter a road that ices up before town does — Steelhead sits higher than central Mission, and the difference shows up first on the shaded corners of Dewdney Trunk.
Rolley Lake & Hayward Lake
Rolley Lake Provincial Park and the Hayward Lake trails both pull their visitors through Steelhead, and the parking lots produce the usual crop of dead batteries and locked-in keys. If you're stuck at a trailhead, mention it when you call — it changes how we get to you.
